遊戲治療是非入侵性的兒童情緒輔導方式,近年在港漸趨普及。除社會福利署支援特殊需要兒童外,坊間不乏私人基金資助非政府機構提供服務。有註冊遊戲治療師指,疫後服務需求增加,惟香港未有註冊制度,服務質素參差;有學者說,部分課程缺乏專業倫理元素,未說明職業階梯,令學員誤信完成數日課程即可執業。有業內人士指,遊戲治療仍處起步、探索和優化階段,持份者要加深了解,若日後得官方註冊資格,有望推動跨專業合作,更有效支援有需要的家庭。
