We are pleased to share with you that the HKU-UBS Sustainable and Social Innovation Leadership Programme (SSILP) 2025 Cohort, co-directed by Prof. Amy Chow and Prof. Cheryl Chui of the Department, has successfully marked its end with the Final Pitching Day on 19 September.
SSILP is a collaboration between our Department and investment bank UBS. It is a unique educational programme designed for nonprofit practitioners, paving the way for Hong Kong to become the Philanthropy Powerhouse in Asia. Over the past three years of collaboration, SSILP has already trained around 90 nonprofit leaders across Hong Kong and other Greater Bay Area cities. Through this 6-month curriculum supported by our professors and industry experts from both the nonprofit and business sectors, all SSILP fellows have developed their individual project aimed at driving new social impact.
19 September was the day our 29 SSILP Fellows (24 from Hong Kong and 5 from Mainland China) presented a total of 25 social projects. After rigorous deliberation, the judging panel selected two outstanding projects to be the Champions:
Each will be awarded HK$400,000 incubation funding to develop and implement their projects.
The audience also cast their votes for the Audience Choice Award winners:
