
Karriann is an HKPCA Certified Counsellor and a certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor. She holds an MSocSc in Counselling and a BA (Hons) in Cultural Studies. Her role includes teaching, supervising capstone projects, and facilitating experiential learning that connects theory to practice.
Prior to joining HKU, Karriann has supported students in various higher education settings through counselling, academic and career advising, wellness education, leadership development, and crisis response. She is dedicated to helping students navigate challenges, make choices, and embrace changes. She engages students using practical tools, such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Personality Dimensions®, to inspire self-discovery and values-based actions. Her goal is to help young adults lead purposeful lives by integrating well-being with performance and developing the skills and networks they need for personal and professional success.
