Abstract:
Social work has a longstanding challenge- the difficulty of transforming individual case experiences into systematic knowledge. Traditional approaches rely heavily on the personal intuition and experience of social workers.

In this seminar, Prof. Liang will introduce the project that addresses the current gap in the application of Artificial Intelligence for Science (AI4S) to social work knowledge production. This project deeply integrates Agentic Context Engineering (ACE) with complex network analysis to develop an innovative intelligent analytical system: the Social Work Client State Transition Network.

About the speaker:
Prof. Yucheng Liang, is Professor of Sociology and Doctoral Supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University, where he serves as Vice Dean of the School of National Governance and Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work. His research focuses on social stratification and inequality, computational sociology, social transformation in China, and quantitative research methods, with particular interests in digital platform governance and health inequalities.
