Abstract:
Dementia currently affects 50 million people worldwide, a number that will surge to 76 million in 10 years due to population ageing. With the significant disability, sufferings, and costs to the affected families and society, stakeholders around the world are looking for solutions. In this symposium, leaders in dementia policy and services development will share the latest development in seven lower- and middle-income countries, Chinese communities, and innovative approaches from a life-course perspective and cross-sectoral collaboration, to deliberate on the design and planning needed to make our society dementia friendly over a decade.
